IcefishAmatic
Instructions |
 |
The IceFishAmatic Automatic
Hook Setter catches fish on an unmanned pole.
It Automatically
sets the hook as the fish takes the bait, with the hook rarely
swallowed. |
|
After lowering the bait to
desired depth and placing the rod into a pole holder, place the loop end of the
IceFishAmatic
cord around the reel handle.
A 1" or larger bobber* placed on the cord
will prevent the IceFishAmatic
from sinking if it falls into the water.
*Bobber not included with IceFishAmatic
|
 |
 |
Grasping the rod tip, the rod
is bent downward to insert the end of the hook setter into the rod
tip eye. |
|
The line is fed through one of
the two loops in the hook setter. |
 |
 |
The upper loop in the wire is used for pan fishing
and trips the easiest.
The lower loop in the wire is used for larger
fish.
|
|
The bobber is also used to adjust
the cord tension. The cord should be approximately 2/3 the
length of the pole. The IceFishAmatic is now
ready to catch a fish. |
 |
 |
When a fish bites, the line
tension rotates the hook setter releasing the rod tip, instantly
causing the rod to snap back at the same time that the fish is
pulling on the hook. |
|
The hook is usually caught in
the fish's mouth or jaw rather than in the fish's stomach.
The IceFishAmatic is a
"catch & release" fisherman's friend. |
